Beltrami County Jail Roster
The official county online custody channel is the Beltrami County Inmate Locator. The locator is tied to the Beltrami County Sheriff's Office and is used for current or recent local jail custody. The research source captured language options, name fields, gender, birth-year filtering, search results, and a detail panel that opens from a result or image. The roster is the best first stop for a person booked into the Beltrami County Adult Correction Center, but it is not a statewide prison search and it is not the official court case record.
The Sheriff's Office page names the jail phone as 218-333-4189 and the Records Division phone as 218-333-4187. That split matters. The jail can answer custody and facility questions, while Sheriff's Records is the channel for arrest reports, incident reports, traffic accident reports, citations, and other law-enforcement data when release is allowed. Court Administration is separate and handles District Court case records, certified copies, and court-date questions.
The inmate locator disclaimer is direct. Beltrami County Sheriff's Office cannot guarantee accuracy, the information should not be relied on for legal action, and booking into the jail does not establish guilt or conviction. The portal also warns that Minnesota Statute 111.335 may make it unlawful to discriminate against an employee or applicant because of an arrest or conviction record.
Search Beltrami County Inmates
The roster workflow is simple, but it is still worth using exact details. Name spelling can affect results, and custody can move quickly after court, bail, transfer, or release. If a person does not appear in the county locator, the next step is not to assume there is no record. The person may be in state DOC custody, federal custody, another county's jail, or may not have been booked.
- Open the Beltrami County Inmate Locator and choose a language if needed.
- Enter the last name or first name. Add gender or birth year only if the result list is too broad.
- Review the public roster result list and select the result or image to open the detail panel.
- Read custody date, bail or fine, booking status, and court information before calling the jail.
- Use MCRO or Court Administration for the related District Court case file if court records are needed.
Note: No official Beltrami County Sheriff's Office or Bemidji Police Department app-only inmate lookup was found in the research.
Beltrami County Inmate Search Fields
The Beltrami County inmate locator has a small set of fields. It does not require a case number, court file number, or booking number in the captured research. That makes it useful for a family member or reader who knows only a name, but the result still needs confirmation before any legal, employment, tenant, or court action.

Beltrami County Inmate Profile
An inmate profile gives a custody snapshot, not a full criminal case file. It can help identify a person in custody and find basic court or bail information, but the court record must be checked through MCRO or Court Administration for charges, pleas, hearings, disposition, and sentencing. The arrest or booking report is also separate and may require a Sheriff's Records request.
| Field | What It Shows |

The official research did not locate a jail capacity number in the reviewed web text, so capacity should not be stated. The local custody access point remains the jail phone, the public inmate locator, and Sheriff's Records for releasable law-enforcement records.
Beltrami County Custody Records
County jail custody is not the same as Minnesota prison custody, BCA criminal history, or federal custody. A person booked at the Adult Correction Center appears in the county inmate locator if the public roster displays the record. A person sentenced to state prison is searched through the Minnesota Department of Corrections. A background-check style conviction search belongs with the Minnesota BCA Public Criminal History Search, not MCRO or the jail roster. A person in federal Bureau of Prisons custody is searched through the federal locator.
County inmate record: the Beltrami County Inmate Locator covers current or recent local jail custody and booking profile fields. It does not cover state prison custody, federal custody, or certified court records.
DOC offender record: the Minnesota DOC Public Viewer covers sentenced DOC individuals, former names, and DOC ID search. It does not cover current county jail-only bookings.
BCA criminal history: BCA CHS covers public conviction history linked through fingerprints. It is not a jail custody lookup or full court docket source.
Federal inmate record: the Bureau of Prisons locator covers federal custody. It does not show Beltrami County jail bookings or state DOC custody.
The manifest image from the Minnesota DOC public offender locator supports the distinction between state prison custody and Beltrami County inmate records.
Use DOC for state custody after sentence or commitment, while the Beltrami roster remains the local jail lookup.
The broader Minnesota DOC search page also lists ways to search individuals, fugitives, and non-compliant predatory registrants.
That statewide DOC source is useful only when the custody question has moved beyond the Beltrami County jail roster.
Beltrami County Inmate Visitation
The Adult Correction Center publishes daily visitation blocks. Visits are 15 minutes. The first visit can begin at the start of a block, and the last visit must start on or before the end time. Visitors must show ID at staff request, and a visitor must be at least 18 unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. A visitor may visit only one inmate per day through the lobby kiosk.
| Visit Block | Time | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Morning | 7:30-11:30 a.m. | First visit starts at the start time; last visit must start on or before end time. |
| Afternoon | 2:00-5:00 p.m. | Same start and end rule. |
| Evening | 7:00-9:00 p.m. | Same start and end rule. |
All persons entering Beltrami County Jail are subject to a warrant check and contraband search. Cameras are not permitted. A person named in an Order for Protection or Harassment Order involving the inmate, as petitioner or respondent, will not be permitted to visit that inmate. A person who appears under the influence of alcohol or another intoxicating substance will not be permitted to visit.
Note: The jail can terminate, revoke, or refuse a visit that threatens safety, security, or good order.
Beltrami County Inmate Contact
Beltrami County directs the public to Inmate Canteen to set up an account for off-site video visitation or to send emails. The county identifies Turnkey Corrections visitation system rules. Abuse of video-conference privileges can cause immediate loss of visitation rights, including improper or malicious use of equipment, nudity or excessive profanity, failing to respect the admin monitor, false information, or illegal activity. Visits are monitored to enforce conduct rules.
The manifest image for Inmate Canteen supports the Beltrami County inmate video and email access channel.
That vendor channel is for communication and video access, not for certified court records or official arrest reports.
Beltrami County Jail Programs
The jail page lists programs and services provided by program staff and volunteers, including education, parenting, treatment, A.A., chaplaincy, and other activities. Some inmates attend outpatient treatment programs such as sex offender treatment, alcohol treatment, drug treatment, and anger management. Attendance is voluntary and inmates sign up through the kiosk in their housing unit. Program contacts are listed as 218-333-4221 or 218-333-8357.
Beltrami County also describes the Reset Program as a local reentry program with a social worker in the jail. The county reported that, in late 2023, the program had a 53 percent success rate, 62 percent of clients served had been opioid users, and all clients had been users of drugs or alcohol. The chaplaincy program is coordinated through World Wide Ministries and includes group settings, one-on-one counseling, libraries, Bible studies, services, and sessions with local pastors, area reservation representatives, and lay persons.
PREA reporting is also documented. The jail states zero tolerance for sexual abuse and harassment. Reports may be made to Jail Administration during business hours at 218-333-4181, to a Shift Supervisor through the jail at 218-333-4189, to Support Within Reach at 218-444-9524 or 800-708-2727, or to Sanford Bemidji Hospital ER at 218-333-5000 for evidentiary exams.
Federal Inmate Records
Federal custody is outside the Beltrami County inmate roster. A person sentenced to federal prison or held in Bureau of Prisons custody should be searched through the Federal Bureau of Prisons inmate locator. Federal matters in Minnesota are not filed in Beltrami County District Court, and federal prison custody is not managed by the Adult Correction Center.
The manifest image from the federal locator shows the official custody source for inmates outside the county and state DOC systems.
Use that federal source only for BOP custody. For Beltrami jail custody, return to the county locator or the Adult Correction Center phone.
